Assalamualikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu
Imagine if you were at the pinnacle of focal point of your ambition in life. You just received your first satisfying salary and you start thinking of ways top spend it. Perhaps a new car? fancy watch? LED television? throw a party with friends?. What we don’t realize is that we’ve just unlocked a great act of worship i.e. HAJJ.
We visit the 5th gate of Paradise Baabul Hajj: Those Muslims who observe their annual pilgrimage will be admitted through this door. Hajj is a pillar of Islam and is obligatory on every capable Muslim.
“Whoever performs Hajj and does not utter obscenities or commit sin, will come back as on the day when his mother bore him.” al-Bukhaari, 1521; Muslim, 1350.
“From one ‘Umrah to the next is an expiation for whatever (sins) came between them, and for an accepted Hajj there is no reward but Paradise.” al-Bukhaari, 1773; Muslim, 1349.
“And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka‘bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allaah, those who can afford the expenses (for one’s conveyance, provision and residence); and whoever disbelieves [i.e. denies Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah), then he is a disbeliever of Allaah], then Allaah stands not in need of any of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)”
Hajj is a great act of worship because it test’s a man’s wealth, physical and mental toughness. So keep in mind that as soon as you become an independent healthy adult, your have a duty to perform , If a person fails to do Hajj out of negligence when he is able to do it, no Hajj will ever count for him, even if people do Hajj on his behalf a thousand times.
And Allah knows best
Don’t forget to invite your friends:-)
